It's just snow! Why do your brains turn off the second that frozen water falls from the sky?

I'm talking it's just barely snowing, yet there were people already going 45 on the highway. WHY? Then there was a lady getting ready to change lanes behind another car who SLAMS ON THE FUCKING BRAKES FOR NO REASON, causing me to almost rear-end them. If I was in the GMC I probably would have. Then the person with no lights on, not using turn signals, weaving in and out of lanes.

Fucking hell. *head table*

Nope-ing the hell off the roads for today. People go brain dead when the weather goes to anything more than overcast.

Also, the fucking CHECK COOLANT LOW or whatever it said stopped showing up on the M3. No idea why or what but it didn't flash the message once in the 3 times I turned the ignition on and off to see it again. I swear to Jesus.

It never ceases to amaze me. I've been living in WNY since I was 6. I'm 25 now. Yet every time the first snow fall occurs, everyone acts like it's the first time they've ever seen snow.

It's utterly and completely stupefying.

twice this winter I have watched people for no real reason spin out of control and wreck on the highway. The best fucking part of them both is I saw it happening before I think they even knew what was happening. The first one was a chick in a Sentra and I called every action and mistake she was going to make before they happen to my girlfriend. Whom god mad at me for laughing and then flicking her off for being a bad and reckless driver.. her number one mistake though was turning with spin and slamming on her breaks. jesus, no violent abrupt maneuvers people.. and always turn into spin and if your in FWD give it a touch of has to pull you out. boom nice and straight again.. was that so hard?

The next thing that pisses me off are the herds of slow moving buffalo that clog the road ways. You know buffalo's. stupid fucking cross overs and SUV's drive by people with no clue how to drive them! fucking got stuck in a group of these fuckers, AWD every fucking one of them, doing 20mph on the high way! sure it snowed and iced up a bit. but the highway was fairly clean and safe! I hate those fuckers.. I hate them so god damn fucking much!

I'm in St. Louis and while we don't get the insane amounts of snowfall the upper east coast gets we'll usually get two or three good snow storms every winter. Yet every time it snows it's the same thing of people freaking the fuck out and sliding off roads and driving like they'd never driven before.

People who buy SUVs and still drive like they're in a RWD car on performance all-seasons (what I drive) should have their SUVs taken away and given to me. If you don't understand that 4WD actually will help you go stay a bit more stable allowing you to go faster you don't need the big hulking 3-ton vehicle you're piloting.

I also hate the ones that get on the highway, turn their emergency flashers on, and cruise at 20 MPH. Why take the highway if you're afraid of the snow?

I was in the car once with someone who would brake for no reason where I asked why they hit the brakes when there was no need for it.

The answer was basically "It feels safer"... in that they have it in their heads that hitting the brakes once in a while means they're a "safer" and "better" driver because it just feels that way to them.

There was this lady in a Grand Caravan who was pulled over on the shoulder for some reason or another who was coming back onto the highway with her hazards on and almost side swiped me because she didn't think she needed to look before coming back over into the lane going 25. I had to LEAN on the horn for a good 10 seconds before she even LOOKED UP FROM HER FUCKING PHONE to see what she had done. I blew past her and saw her in my rear-view still with her hazards on, moving into the center lane, still going about 30. That's how someone gets killed.

You think that's aggravating? Try driving in the Bay Area on a rainy day! You'd think people in the Bay Area are used to rain. But, without fail, the roads come to a halt the second mist touches the windshield. I thought, maybe this is just how most of our society (poorly) handles these situations. But then I drove on a rainy day in So Cal and everything was perfectly fine. It's the Bay Area in particular that is so illogically uncomfortable driving in the rain. What country did these people come from, that they have no concept of rain?

Like it's not bad enough that crowd ruined SUV's with their damned complaints that they are true truck like and turned the whole segment into soft roading cross over garbage! But then they have to drive about like a slow footed buffalo any time there's as much as a cloud in the sky! Yes, ok there is a bit of snow on the road, maybe even a little ice. But for gods sake you have AWD and big meaty tires! your POS was designed to drive safely in these conditions. Even with an incompetent ass behind the wheel! I'm not being reckless when I pass you doing 50 in my FWD sedan, your being reckless when you block the road, doing 20 mph and make rapid, violent maneuvers any time a snow flake blows past your window! Learn to drive, die or take public transportation.. grrrr.

Oh there was a reason alright... as you mentioned, they were shitty drivers who overreacted and hit the brakes while yanking the steering... probably due to hitting a snow drift or a rut at a speed too high for conditions. Snow drifts can really yank a lighter car to the side. And many drivers react the wrong way... get on the brakes when they should stay on the gas... and turn the steering too much in the opposite direction. And that leads to a front wheel digging in and the back coming around to the front.

And then off into the ditch they go.
